Prayer Walking
Ways to pray
Below are a few ways to help you pray on your prayer walk. Pray whatever the Holy Spirit brings to your heart as you walk, these are just suggestions to help you get started if needed.
Pray for: Dependence for Salt City Church
Psalm 127:1
"Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain."
Confess our dependence on God for the city's protection, growth, and spiritual vitality. Pray against spiritual blindness and ask God to establish His kingdom work across every neighborhood.

Pray for: Homes and Households
Colossians 4:2–4
"Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ... that I may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak."
Ask the Lord to open doors for everyday gospel conversations between Salt City and neighbors. Pray that believers living on these streets would have boldness, clarity, and genuine love for the people next door.

Ask the Lord to raise up faithful disciple-makers and plant healthy, gospel-centered churches right here in this community. Pray that you would leave the walk ready to be the answer to that prayer.

Helpful Tips
As we go to pray over this area of North Salt Lake, here are a few things to consider:
- As you walk, take turns praying over houses, schools, and businesses you pass by.
- Don't be afraid of silence. Allow silence for people to continue to pray on their own as well.
- Pray short, focused prayers. You can always pray again, so pray for one thing at a time.
- If you end up passing by someone, you can ask them if they need prayer for anything. This is not a time to get into theological debates with people. Our goal is to pray that the Lord would save the people of this area. When you pray over them, pray for what they asked, thank God for who He is, and thank Him for the gospel.
